a little first birthday party

We went down to Eugene the weekend before Sonia's first birthday and had a nice party with family there. 

 I love how this picture turned out. All the cousins made a nice little spiral shape. 

 At first Sonia wasn't sure about her cake...

 Then she decided she liked it!

 Isaac didn't finish his cake, so I did for him. 

 Then Sonia got to open some presents! Actually, I think Isaac helped open most of them, but Sonia was still interested.  

"I'm just going to hold my Elmo and think a little bit…"
